Areim has signed new long-term lease agreements with Ving and Bauer Media, covering a combined total of roughly 7,600 sqm of lettable area in Trängkåren 7 in Tidningskvarteren, Stockholm. Both companies are long-standing tenants and play an important role in the area’s continued development.

The new lease agreements reinforce the positive leasing momentum in Tidningskvarteren. Over the past 12 months, a total of 11 companies have chosen to either establish or retain their offices in the area, representing more than 14,000 sqm of office space.

“We are very pleased that both Ving and Bauer Media have chosen to remain in Tidningskvarteren. They have been part of the area for many years and are an important part of the community we have here. The continued commitment of our existing tenants, together with the strong interest we are seeing from prospective tenants, clearly demonstrates that companies value the qualities that Tidningskvarteren offers,” says Christian Bouvier, Head of Asset Management Office, Sweden, at Areim.

Bauer Media welcomes the continued development of Tidningskvarteren and looks forward to remaining part of the area.

“We are very happy in Tidningskvarteren and look forward to continuing to develop an attractive workplace for our employees, in the middle of one of Stockholm’s most established media hubs,” says Johanna Ervér, Marketing & Communications Director at Bauer Media.

Tidningskvarteren is the name of the area around Trängkåren 6 (the “Sweco-building”) and Trängkåren 7 (“DN-skrapan” and “Tidningshuset”) located in Marieberg, Stockholm. Areim is developing a vibrant, inclusive and open neighbourhood for those who live, work and spend time in the area. Today, around 10,000 people work in the neighbourhood and approximately 13,000 people live in the surrounding area, creating a natural rhythm of daily life and a vibrant urban atmosphere. The development is based on circular urban planning with a focus on renewal without demolition, and has created clearer connections between the properties while laying the foundations for increased activity and interactions in everyday life. A broad range of amenities, including more than 10 restaurants, a fine dining restaurant, a café, and two gym facilities, contributes to activity and social interaction even outside office hours.
