Therese Rattik appointed new CEO of Areim

2 September 2013

On 2 September 2013 Therese Rattik took over her new position as CEO of Areim. Therese has been a key member of the Areim team since its inception in 2003 and has played a leading role in several of the company’s major transactions, both for Areim Fund I, and for partners such as Blackstone, ING and AP4. Therese became a partner in 2007 and has over the years worked with Areim’s strategic development.

– We recently closed our second real estate fund, Areim Fund II, with a total investment volume of 6-7 billion SEK and have several large transactions ahead of us. Our existing portfolio also consists of a number of exciting leasing, asset management and project development opportunities. It will be both challenging and exciting to continue to lead and develop Areim’s business together with our skilled and experienced team in my new role as the CEO, says Therese.

Therese holds a Master of Science degree from KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm and an EMBA (Executive MBA) with a specialization in Global Economy from the Stockholm School of Economics.

In handing over the CEO position to Therese, Leif Andersson, founder of Areim, will focus more on transactions, investor relations and business development.

– I am extremely happy that Therese has accepted to take over as CEO. She has both my and our investors’ confidence in leading Areim as we continue to grow and expand, says Leif. I look forward to being able to focus entirely on what I do best and where I add the most value – creating business.
