Solna Port -Scaling down public areas to make them more cosy
Råsundavägen 2-16, Solna, Sweden
The property Solna Port (Brahelund 2) is located at the north entrance to Stockholm and was in need of large-scale refurbishment when Areim acquired it in 2015.
We scaled down the oversized public spaces to make them more cosy and welcoming. One of the areas was transformed into furnished workspaces that are available to the public and other areas were converted into small office spaces.
The Solna Port development includes an innovative restaurant concept. At Restaurang P the chefs prepare all meals from scratch and also make their own ice cream, pies, cakes and confectionery. The restaurant quickly became very popular, providing a boost to Solna Port’s reputation.
Another important improvement involved the creation of an extensive signage programme for the large property. The modern signage programme has three sections: an informative, a functional and a tenant section for tenant logos, making it easy to navigate your way around Solna Port.
Solna Port is environmentally certified to BREEAM Very Good and was sold in 2018.
