EcoDataCenter (“EcoDC”) is a Nordic data centre platform delivering scalable, high-performance, and sustainable infrastructure for cloud, HPC, and AI workloads. Across two major campuses, EcoDC develops and operates flexible, high-density data centre solutions designed to meet the increasing demands of next-generation computing.
Sustainability is at the core of EcoDC’s model. The platform integrates energy-efficient design, renewable energy sourcing, and circular resource use, supporting both customer decarbonisation goals and the broader transition to a circular economy. EcoDC has been managed by Areim since 2018 and is owned by the Areim DC Fund. The platform reflects Areim’s strategy of investing in scalable, sustainable solutions with proven commercial viability, while actively supporting continued expansion and value creation.
2025 PERE Awards – Data Center Firm of the Year Runner-up
Through the Areim DC Fund’s ownership of EcoDataCenter, Areim was nominated and named runner-up for Data Center of the Year at the 2025 PERE Awards, one of the most prestigious honours in the private equity and real estate industry.
Winner of the ULI Europe Awards for Excellence 2024
EcoDataCenter 1 was named as the winner of the prestigious Urban Land Institute Europe Awards for Excellence 2024. This was the first time a data centre has received the award which recognises best practices and outstanding projects in terms urban development.
