Investment Analyst Internship

Part-time (~15h per week) during fall 2018

Areim is a fund manager investing in real estate across the Nordics. The company has currently three funds with a total committed capital of BSEK 9. Areim started as the Nordic real estate operating partner for Blackstone and has also worked with several international investors such as ING Real Estate and Carlyle.

Areim is now offering a part-time internship during the fall 2018 within the Investments team at the Stockholm office. We are looking for a student with an exceptional drive, 2-3 years into your studies. Preferably you have previously conducted an internship within investment banking, management consulting or similar. Real estate experience is not needed but a general interest in investments and corporate finance is required. You also have a strong interest in modelling and financial analysis, and taking responsibility for the whole, the details as well as the risks. The work schedule is agreed together with you to allow for full-time studies. The average work time will be around 15 hours per week, but can vary over the semester dependent on study workload. We foresee that most of the working time will be during office hours as you will be part of the team.

As an intern you will take part in various projects involving real estate acquisitions and divestments, including underwriting, due diligence, debt financing etc. You will also be involved in evaluating possible additional investments in the current portfolio, e.g. larger refurbishment, development or conversion projects, as well as ongoing analysis and reporting. You will be part of a small team with eight other Investment Professionals. Typical tasks involve conducting investment and market analysis, financial modelling, creating presentation materials as well as the opportunity to participate in transaction processes. You speak Swedish and English and are used to working with Excel and PowerPoint.

As an intern at Areim you are encouraged to step forward and take on responsibility from the start, whilst working closely with experienced co-workers. You are expected to be professional, hard working and independent with an attitude of no task being too simple. Yet, you are expected to express your opinions as at Areim everyone is appreciated for their input.

If you are interested in the Internship please send your CV, cover letter and grade transcript to: no later than 31 March 2018.
