Areim has acquired six light industrial properties with 16,400 sqm of lettable area. The properties are located in the Backa and Jordbro industrial areas of Gothenburg and Stockholm respectively. This is Areim’s first acquisition within the light industrial sector in the Gothenburg area. Stenhus Fastigheter AB was the seller of the properties.

“Backa Industrial Area is an excellent central location with attractive premises and great potential where we can add significant value to the acquired properties” says Julia Mejegård, Nordic Head of Light Industrial at Areim.

With this acquisition, Areim expands the Swedish light industrial portfolio in Greater Stockholm, Uppsala and Gothenburg to 51 properties and a total lettable area of approx. 175,000 sqm. This portfolio also includes a significant volume of unused building rights as well as ongoing production of new buildings in this portfolio.
