Areim has acquired the multi-tenant office and retail building Hämeentie 31 located next to the Sörnäinen metro station in Helsinki. The asset consists of approximately 7,000 sqm of lettable space and has been extensively refurbished in 2019-2020. The asset was acquired from Assai Commercial. 

– This investment is a great fit to Areim’s existing office portfolio in Finland. The asset holds a central location in the Eastern Inner City of Helsinki with excellent transportation connections. We will continue to refine the asset through sustainability related projects and by making it even more welcoming to its tenants and visitors. The refurbished property provides clear value add opportunities in the developing area of Sörnäinen. Areim intends to invest in improving further the attractiveness of the asset and also enhancing it from a sustainability perspective. 

This acquisition complements Areim’s existing direct office portfolio in Finland which is concentrated in the established office areas in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Areim’s other Finnish holdings comprise a diversified residential portfolio in the country’s largest cities, light industrial assets in the Helsinki area and a position in Sponda.
